How to Troubleshoot an Intex Easy Set Pool
- 1). Shock your Intex Easy Set pool with a super-chlorinate shock treatment or adjust the chemicals to the recommended pH level if you notice algae or floating matter in your pool or if the water turns black, blue or brown when first treated. Algae are identified by green water, green or black spots on the pool liner and a bad odor. Follow the chemical treatment and pH level adjustment suggestions as recommended by your dealer or pool store as it varies by region and by the product you use. Maintain a proper chlorine level going forward to prevent algae, colored water or floating matter in the water.
- 2). Inspect the pool for holes in the liner or hoses if you notice the water level decreasing. Tighten all caps and replace hoses if, upon inspection, you notice a hole. Use a vinyl liner repair kit, available from Intex or your pool dealer, if you find holes in the liner. Follow the specific instructions provided with the kit to properly repair the hole.
- 3). Sweep the bottom of your Intex pool with an Intex pool vacuum if you notice dirt or dander on the pool floor. This is primarily caused from heavy usage when your swimmers are getting in and out of the pool. An Intex pool vacuum is available from your Intex or other pool dealer. It hooks up to your water spigot and uses water pressure to suck up sediment from the bottom of an Intex pool.
- 4). Skim the top of the pool surface with an Intex pool skimmer to remove leaves, insects and other surface debris. If your pool is next to a tree, you may notice large amounts of leaves on the pool surface; move the pool away from the tree, if possible. Purchase an Intex pool skimmer from your Intex or other pool dealer.
