I would start at your local pet store and see what they have to offer.

Sometimes they even offer free classes.
They just want to see the owner's and the dogs get along and have a happy life together.
At worst case you will have to just pay for some classes that they will offer.
Make sure you ask for reviews for the trainer before you sign up for the classes.
The last thing you want is to spend money for a trainer that's not worth it.
If you want another option and you want to do this yourself, then consider a book.
I have seen some people offer DVD's that you can buy that teaches you how to train your animals.
I have personally never watched the DVD's but I have gone online to read the reviews and a lot of them are very positive.
If you Google it, you will find some ones that are good.
Make sure you read the reviews before you buy.
Reviews are one of the most important items of feedback you can have.
I can't stress how valuable they are.
They can save you a lot of time and hassle that you wouldn't have to go through.
If you want another option and have a big problem at your house, then I would consider calling the Dog Whisperer.
He can come to your house and help out.
I am not sure how many people are calling and asking him to come over to help out though.
He might have a pretty long list.
It's worth a try though.
Just Google him and send in an email stating what you would like and your problem that you are having.
Note that I believe he only comes out to people's houses that have dogs.
So if you don't have a dog, then do not call him.
Also, don't go buy a dog just to call him.
Do some planning and your life will be much better off.
Last if you must, just take the dog to a doggie camp that they offer.
You may have to travel to a bigger city in order to find a place that offers this, but it's worth it.
They won't beat you dog or do anything bad; they will just teach him that he has to listen and the correct way to make him listen.
Just like the dog whisperer does, except they do it with a big group of dogs.
