      The Carnival Cruise Line prides itself on being one of the most affordable and fun cruise lines in the industry, calling its fleet of vessels "Fun Ships." One of these ships, the Carnival Victory, is used primarily to travel to and from the Caribbean. Carnival Victory features four swimming pools, several dining options, nightclubs, a spa, casino and a large theater.

    Total State Rooms

    • The Carnival Victory has a total of 1,379 state rooms, enough to hold 2,758 passengers. The interior state rooms are the cheapest ones to book, as they are the smallest and have no outside view. The standard ocean view rooms are slightly larger and have windows allowing you to view the ocean. Both interior and ocean view state rooms come with twin beds that come be put together upon request.

      A balcony state room comes with a queen-size bed and allows guests to enjoy the view from a private balcony. Suites have the bedroom separate from the living area as well as a balcony. Grand suites feature walk-in closets and a whirlpool bathtub.

    Decks

    • The Carnival Victory has 13 decks of state rooms, restaurants and entertainment. The two lowest decks have only state rooms on them. Deck three is the lobby deck, which houses the multi-deck Caribbean Main Lounge Theater, where nightly shows are put on and the Atlantic and Pacific dining rooms, the ship's main dining facilities which continue onto deck four. Deck four also features the Internet cafe and the Ionian Cigar Room.

      Deck five features shops, the arcade, the atrium courtyard, the Sea Club Casino and Club Arctic nightclub. Decks six, seven and eight are all state room decks. Deck nine features the Mediterranean Lido Restaurant and other eateries, two pools as well as state rooms.

      Deck 10 has several staterooms and also is home to the main pool deck, featuring a water slide and a huge outdoor flat-screen for movies outside at night. Deck 10 features a few state rooms, the spa, gym, salon and the Camp Carnival Kids Club.

      Deck 12 features the teen clubs and mini golf. Deck 13 has the Skylight where guests can go and relax and occasionally meet with the captain.

    Total Crew

    • The ship has space for 1,100 crew members. Each crew member is integral to keeping operations running smoothly. The engine crew literally keeps the boat running, while the Captain, his officers and the deck department are in charge of managing and overseeing the whole ship.

      The entertainers put on nightly performances, while the spa staff pampers guests with massages and manicures. The housekeeping staff cleans state rooms, replenishing needed ideas. The food and beverage department prepares all the dining options, working in the dining rooms on the ship and serving meals.

      The medical staff is on call for any emergencies. Retail workers manage the gift shops and photo department. Additional crew members include guest speakers and entertainers, religious clergy, trainers, casino staff, and program and activity managers.

    Ship Size and Weight

    • The Carnival Victory is 893 feet in length and weighs 101,509 tons. A part of the Carnival Triumph class of ships, the Victory's maiden voyage was in 2000, and it was renovated in 2007.
