How Can I Save Screensavers to Another Computer?
- Screen savers are graphical files stored on the computer and accessed when needed. Windows default screen savers are stored in the "System32" folder in the Windows directory for Windows XP and Windows Vista. Screen savers are stored in the "System" folder in the Windows directory for Windows 95. If the screen saver was from another source, it could be located anywhere. Use Windows' file searching tool to locate the screen saver file's directory.
- Move the file to a USB jump drive, CD, DVD, or any other form or removable storage. Simply copy and paste the file into the removable storage device of your choice.
- Take the removable storage device and insert it into the other computer. Access the storage device, then copy and paste the screen saver file to the directory of your choice. Remember its location to set it as the active screen saver on the new computer.
