- 1). Disconnect from the Internet. This prevents Transponder from transmitting any more data while you run the removal.
- 2). Run the Windows Defender application. This tool comes installed on computers running Windows Vista or Windows 7. To find the program, simply type "Windows Defender" (without quote marks) into the search bar in your Start menu and hit the "Enter" key. Though Windows XP doesn't come with the tool pre-installed, XP users can download it from Microsoft Support (see the link in the Resources section of this article).
- 3). Click once on the arrow next to the "Scan" button. Select "Full Scan" in the menu that drops down.
- 4). Click the "Scan" button once.
- 5). Wait for the full scan to complete. When it does, click "Repair" to remove the Transponder spyware.
- 6). Restart your computer. It is now safe to reconnect to the Internet.
