Missed period.
For most women who menstruate regularly, this is the clearest sign of pregnancy.
Women who have irregular menstruation would not always become aware of their pregnancy right away if not for the occurrence of other signs.

Increased appetite.
You may notice feeling hungrier more often and consuming more than you usually do.
You may have unexplained cravings for certain types of food and will feel very annoyed when your hunger and cravings are not satisfied.

Sensitivity to certain smells.
You may start noticing the smell of certain things that used to escape your notice and find some types of smell to be offensive.
You may start disliking the smell of certain foods for some reason and may even feel like throwing up from it.

Morning sickness.
This is a classic symptom that can start as early as the first month although not every pregnant woman experiences this.
Some cases of morning sickness can get so severe that the mother is unable to go about her usual tasks for the day and remain bedridden.
The symptoms are go milder throughout the day but can be challenging at first for some women.
Women who experience severe morning sickness should make sure they stay well hydrated and try to keep the food down.

Breast tenderness.
A very noticeable sign are sore, swollen, tender breasts.
The body starts to produce more hormones that makes the breasts larger.
The nipples become more sensitive and even sore.
The color also darkens.

Fatigue.
You may start to feel tired more often and find it hard to get up in the morning.
You can possibly be not pregnant when fatigue is not accompanied by other signs.
In most cases, mothers can feel lower energy levels at certain times of the day and will need to take quick breaks more frequently.

Frequent trips to the bathroom.
As the uterus grows to accommodate new life, other organs in the body will have less room.
You may notice that you are urinating more frequently.

Heartburn or Constipation.
The stomach and intestines, along with the kidney will also be affected by the growth of the uterus.
As it pushes up, the stomach will be forced to push its contents up as well and cause heartburn.
The pressure against your bladder may make you feel the need to relieve yourself but realize that you are unable to.
