How to Shoot the Remington 700 Varmint

104 18
    • 1). Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart and raise the Remington 700 up so that the rifle butt is tucked firmly against your shoulder. The body of the rifle should come across your body, not pointing straight out.

    • 2). Look down the barrel of the rifle towards whatever it is you wish to aim at. Aim your vision between the notch of the rear sight and focus on the post of the front sight. Alternatively, if you are using a scope, close one eye and use the other to sight through the scope.

    • 3). Line up the front and rear sights so the tips of both sights are level, then place the tip of the front sight over whatever it is you are aiming at. Alternatively, if you are using a scope on your Remington, place the cross-hairs over whatever it is you are aiming at and do your best to hold the rifle steady.

    • 4). Place your index finger on the trigger and slowly pull it back to fire the Remington.

    • 5). Lift the bolt lever up and pull back the bolt to eject the spent shell, then push the bolt forward and lock the bolt lever down to chamber another bullet.
