How to Organize an Eating Competition
- 1). Set a budget for the competition base on the number of participants you will have, the cost of the food, decorations, paper/plastic goods and any other items your eating competition will require. Organize a pot luck contest or have items donated to help with cost.
- 2). Come up with an entrance fee if you are doing the contest as a fundraiser. Offer a donation option if you do not want to have a set price.
- 3). Make reservations for the desired location of the eating competition. Make a back up location plan for inclement weather. Have large tents set up rain or shine for a guarantee on your location.
- 4). Set the rules. Conform the rules to fit your budget if necessary, by giving a set number of food items to be eaten and the first to eat the all wins. Print the rules out on large poster board to be displayed for the participants and the audience.
- 5). Organize the eating competition into age groups. Divide the groups however you like depending on the number and ages of the competitors for your event.
- 6). Arrange to have buckets at each of the competitors seats in the event that their stomachs rebel. Assign someone to dispose of the waste in the buckets.
