Good Reasons to Have a Body Shop

101 3
As one could imagine, there are a lot of good reasons to have a body shop in Seattle.  The combination of hilly roads and constant precipitation, the salt and brine used to keep the roads safe aren't as effective as they become deluded.  For this reason Seattle has a high number of accidents at least through the winter months.  Higher numbers of accidents equates to a higher number of repairs that are needed. There is certainly no short supply of people who need repairs completed on their vehicles.  When the city cleans the snow off of the roads, they will also spread salt or brine to keep the roads clear of snow and ice for longer periods of time.  An unfortunate side effect of that is that salt and metal react and the result is rust.

Rust is a common thing to see on vehicles in the North especially in places like Seattle.  In fact a body shop in Seattle is a primary place where rust can be seen on vehicles.  When the cost of a minor repair is better than replacing an expensive vehicle, you can be sure that many people will need the services of a shop close by.  Some shops can even spray the undercarriage of your vehicle with a product that will reduce the effect that the salt has on the metals, extending the life of your car.

Some of the brine materials used to keep the ice from forming on the road is magnesium chloride and calcium chloride which act like anti-freeze making the freezing point of water much lower to keep it from bonding to the asphalt.  Although it does a great job of keeping ice from forming on roads it is highly corrosive on metals and in a very short time makes good work of the body of your vehicle.  A body shop in Seattle would be an excellent resource to assist in preventative maintenance in this case.

Another good reason to have a shop close by is because of the rainfall that Seattle experiences.  Although the rainfall in Seattle is usually considerably less than say New York, the rain falls over a longer period of time in a sort of drizzle keeping the roads wet.  Wet roads are a perfect condition for hydroplaning and losing control of your vehicle, not to mention the fact that there is very frequently low cloud cover and foggy conditions that make visibility low.
