- AT&T was the first wireless company in America to feature the Apple iPhone and offers an array of calling and feature plans. Individual calling plans are as low as $39.99 for 450 minutes per month. Family plans start at $69.99 per month for 700 minutes across two lines. Mobile Internet usage ranges anywhere from $35 to $60 per month depending on the device.
- Verizon's individual and family calling plans are priced the same as those from AT&T. All of these plans can be upgraded to include unlimited text- and picture-messaging for an additional $20 per month. The family plans increase by $30 per month for unlimited messaging. In 2011, Verizon offers feature phones like the iPhone, HTC Droid Pro and Samsung Fascinate.
- Sprint has the Simply Everything plan that includes unlimited calling, messaging and data usage for $99.99 per month. The family version of the Simply Everything plan is $189.98 per month and includes two lines. Basic plans are priced the same as they are with AT&T and Verizon. Sprint features phones like the HTC Evo and Samsung Epic.
- T-Mobile also has an individual unlimited calling, messaging and data plan for $99.99 per month. The family version is $179.99 per month. The basic individual plan is $39.99 for 500 minutes per month, while the basic family plan is $59.99 per month for two lines to share 750 minutes. T-Mobile has the LG Optimus, Samsung Galaxy S and BlackBerry Curve 3G.
- Boost Mobile is a carrier owned by Sprint that offers prepaid service. You select features and minutes and pay for them up front while renewing whenever you want without a contract. You can use your phone in an unlimited capacity for $2 per day or select a monthly unlimited plan for $50 per month. Boost Mobile has phones like the Samsung Seek and BlackBerry Curve 8530.
