UEFA Euro 2012 Co-Host, Poland and Ukraine
It was third times co-host to host the biggest European football event.
Belgium and Netherlands host for Euro 2000 and Austria and Switzerland for Euro 2008.
The final tournament will be held at Ukraine and Poland and schedule between 8 June and 1 July 2012.
The qualification stage to final is between August 2010 and November 2011.
Only 16 national teams will qualify to final.
However on Euro 2016 the tournament will extent to 24 national teams participates to final.
Euro 2012 has received five bids to host the tournament.
The bidders are Poland and Ukraine, Italy, Croatia and Hungary, Turkey and Greece.
The hosts were chosen on 18 April 2007 in Cardift, Wales after UEFA conduct site visit to candidate countries.
Poland and Ukraine received most votes and has been selected as host nation.
The final tournament will play at eight cities which are four cities from Poland and four cities from Ukraine.
The cities are Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Poznan, Kiev, Lviv, Kharkiv and Donetsk.
The opening match will held at Warsaw and final match at Kiev.
The draw for the qualification group stage was held at Warsaw on 7 February 2010.
The qualification group was divided by nine groups.
The top of the group will automatically qualify to final.
Co-host nation Poland and Ukraine and the best runner up also receive automatic ticket to final.
Balance of 4 tickets to final will play on play-off matches.
The runner up of each group except best runner up will play in play-off match.
The winner of the each play-off match will join the rest in final.
