Newly Constructed Or An Existing Abode Among Mesa Homes for Sale?
Existing homes are in bargained prices and are relatively much larger in size. Imagine a 7,400 sq. ft. property sitting on a 34,000 sq. ft. lot with five bedrooms and eight full baths only worth $995,000. If you are lucky, you can even negotiate for the price, when some homes might be idle in the market for quite some time. Areas in old houses are spacious as well and more defined; rather than uniform styles in newer neighborhoods.
Also, these types of houses are strategically sitting in established communities - where businesses and facilities are already thriving; shopping centers, restaurants and other means for relaxation and enjoyment are already teeming, unlike in newer communities where there aren't that many. The proximity factor is also questionable, as newer communities are usually constructed in converted farm lands or corn fields, far away from the bustling city, lest, important services - perhaps like schools, hospitals, among others.
Truth be told yet again, old houses have more character, which might even blend in with the personality of the would-be owner. But if not, minimal fixes or renovations are just needed to complement the over-all structure of the house and that of the owner's tastes as well.
Unless the house had undergone a thorough home inspection, a home for sale may be a so-so purchase and a nightmare. From leaky roofs and faucets, outmoded electrical wirings, old and non-functional appliances and furniture, lead-based paints, asbestos, to foundation problems, most, if not all of these can be encountered in an old, lest, non-maintained house for sale. Structural problems due to land movements or termite infestation are considered the biggest problem and complaint among home buyers of existing houses. This can be checked out regularly when constructing a new home. Renovations can be an added expense as well, not to mention to your already stressful home buying process.
But with a newly built home, you have the freedom you want when it comes to specifications of the house, amenities, interior decorations and fixtures you prefer, unlike in existing homes where you'd make do of what you chanced upon and bought. But allotting budget for new appliances or furnishings is another matter. Some functional items like these can be availed and might already be included in the purchase contract; as some sellers of homes and properties for sale would gladly do these days, such as in Mesa real estate perhaps.
In all these, whether you buy a home for sale or a new one, it's your choice and call. What really matters is that you'll end up with roofs over your heads and have a shelter to call your own. Not everyone, only a few, have the privilege to be a home owner, anyways.
