The Cabbage Patch is a jazz dance that has become a dance floor favorite. The Cabbage Patch involves holding your hands in fists and moving your rib cage in a circular motion. If you are new to jazz and hip hop, practicing the Cabbage Patch will help you learn how to shift your weight fluidly.

Start with your feet together and your arms relaxed by your sides. Step to the side with your right foot with your heel lifted.

Move your rib cage to the left as you shift your body to the left. Circle your arms to the right, holding your hands in fists. Keep your arms in front of your chest.
