There are many changes in facial features that are associated with aging, including fine lines, crow's feet, and laugh lines.
These features have typically only been seen in older people but certain environmental changes have meant that younger people suffer as well.
The increase pollution in the environment and our stressful lives are the two main contributors to premature signs of aging.
Sometimes fine lines appear on the foreheads of people as young as 30.
Wrinkles are thought to be caused primarily by aging.
The outer layers of skin thicken over time, which causes the appearance of wrinkling in the skin.
Such wrinkles are created when the epidermis, or the layer of skin just below the outer surface, doesn't receive enough moisture.
Heavy sun exposure as well as smoking and drinking can cause wrinkles to develop earlier in life.
Our fast-paced lifestyles have also forced us to deal with greater amounts of stress, which contributes to the development of lines on the forehead and wrinkles.
Some ways to protect oneself from getting wrinkles prematurely include eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly.
Another way to prevent wrinkles is to stay out of the sun for long periods of time.
Sun block can definitely help if you simply can't avoid being outside in the sun.
As drinking or smoking too much contributes to the appearance of signs of aging, you should cut back on them as much as possible.
Being around second-hand smoke can also cause signs of aging, so avoid smoky areas whenever you can.
You can also prevent wrinkles by drinking enough water.
Getting 8-10 glasses of water a day will keep the skin hydrated, thus preventing the formation of wrinkles.
Staying hydrated will keep your skin moisturized and soft.
We all find ourselves with wrinkles later on in life, but there are methods you can undertake to reduce the premature occurrence of these signs of aging.
Adopting a healthy lifestyle will help greatly in keeping your face smooth and wrinkle-free.
