How to Design My Own Monster-Themed Backpack
- 1). Draw a rectangle in the center of your page. At the top of the rectangle, add a curve to create the shape of the backpack. Three-quarters of the way down the bag, add a line to show a zip pocket. This is the basic framework of your backpack.
- 2). Draw several copies or photocopy your basic backpack outline. It is good to have a framework to work with so you can freely sketch as many monstrous designs as you like.
- 3). Design your first backpack. Add triangular teeth to the zip section of the backpack. Draw two round circles in the center of the bag and two fluffy eyebrows. Draw a round tongue coming out from the teeth and two triangular horns sticking out of the top of the backpack.
- 4). Sketch another design. Add arms dangling from each side of the rucksack. Create the whole zip section of the backpack to be a large mouth with teeth on the top and bottom section. Draw a large nose above the mouth and two swirled eyeballs.
- 5). Try imitating the cookie monster. Draw a u-shape covering the zip section of the backpack. Draw small lines of hair on top of the mouth and above two large circular eyeballs. Draw two curved eyeballs and two black pupil dots in different spots on either eye so he's looking in different directions.
- 6). Color in your designs. Use bold and bright colors to bring your designs to life. Outline each design with a black marker to highlight your work.
