TV Stands - The Down and Dirty Facts

103 1
I recently decided it was time to upgrade my television.
Most of my Friends and family had these beautiful new sets with high definition and a huge viewing area that made watching their favorite movies and shows a real delight.
Some of them had the new Blu-Ray DVD players that made the experience so amazing that that the characters appeared to leap right off the screen and into their living room.
I was jealous, to say the least.
So I started looking around to see if I could find something in my budget, and I was pleasantly surprised.
The cost of owning such a technological masterpiece was well within my grasp.
After much research and discussion, I decided to go with an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) flat screen.
I carefully inspected the different manufacturers and their products along with their viewable size offerings and started to search out the best deal I could find.
I stumbled onto an on line offering I felt was the way to go, got my credit card in hand, purchased my sixty-five inch monster and sat back to wait for delivery.
When the day finally came I was very excited.
The delivery truck pulled up and unloaded a crate the size of a love seat.
It was only after getting it in the house and unpacking it that I realized I had totally forgotten a necessary part needed for the viewing experience to be complete.
I didn't have anywhere to put it! I had overlooked a stand to place this beautiful entertainment device on! What to do now? I went to my trusty computer, brought up my old friend the Internet, and started to see what options were available to me.
I was disappointed to find that there were not any guides or information to point me in the right direction.
There were plenty of businesses and sites that wanted to sell me a stand, but what did I need to know before I purchased one? As I came to find out, There are a few important things to look at when thinking about making one of these purchases.
First, you need to know what kind you are looking for.
If you have an LCD or Plasma you may need to look at one designed especially for them because of the extra weight compared to your standard big screen model.
If you have space concerns then look for a wall mount or a corner model as they save the most space.
You should be aware that, storage space will be a concern and you will need to plan appropriately.
Another point you may want to consider is the style.
You want to make sure you find one that fits your home's decor.
This should be fairly easy as there are models in just about color and style imaginable.
The bottom line is that you want to make sure you find one that fits your style but is still functional and aesthetically pleasing so you will be happy with your purchase years from now.
