Why You Might Want to Check That Family Tree of Yours

Some folks are not so concerned with who they are, or exactly where they came from, but I happen to come from a family that does very much care, both sides of my family actually.
Interestingly enough, perhaps like you, personally I didn't care all that much, but you know what? Genealogy, that is the study of one's family tree is something that grows on you.
Seriously, but it is a wonderful journey to visit the past, the history of your own genes is a something all to its own.
You won't believe the types of things you will discover, it's addicting, and soon, once you start you will see why so many people get hooked.
If you search the internet you will find 10s of thousands of articles online about genealogy, and 1000s of forum posts, and articles on your own family name.
Once you start digging into your family's history, Genograms, cousin charts and famous family ancestors, with the aid of family tree software to keep track of each subsequent generation, you will unlock the past, and it will explain who you are, and the revelations will be shocking indeed.
There is nothing which can unite a home and family more than finding out what makes them one, how that family has gotten to the present period, and you can find out just by doing a little digging.
In my personal genealogy story, I did know that I had Mayflower Ancestry on my father's side, but I found even more incredible things on my mother's side, uniting me to Royal Ancestry, which to my good fortune allowed me to trace my genes all the back to 432 B.
