Caring and Soothing Your Feet

If you have pets you treat them with love and kindness and would not let anyone stuff them into high heels and make them shop till they drop.
You would not demand that they walk endlessly on holiday-so they don't miss anything-by being dragged from pillow to post wearing out their poor little feet; but when it come to your feet this is what you do.
You are constantly abusing your feet and not thinking about them at all until they start to hurt.
Once they are worn out you cannot throw them out and get a new pair, so here are some suggestion to improve the health of your feet.
When you get home after being on them all day you need to put your feet up.
Raise your feet to an angle of approximately 45 degrees and exercise your toes while relaxing in a comfortable chair until your feet feels the benefit.
Another method is to soak your feet in a warm bowl of Epsom salts and water using 2 table spoons of salt, then wash and drying before moisturizing and massaging your feet.
If you are in a hotel after a day's shopping you can sit on the edge of the bath spray your feet with hot then cold water from the shower finishing off with cold? This will revitalize your feet.
Be careful not to expose yourself to extreme temperatures if you have a debilitating illness.
A different technique is to soak your feet in a sizeable bowl of warm water with a half teaspoon of eucalyptus and rosemary oil.
Then pour cold water over your feet then hot and then cold again.
An alternative choice could be a half teaspoon of juniper and lemon oils.
If you are a person that keeps a selection of teas in the house a half liter brew of 5 peppermint or chamomile teabags added to 5 liters of hot water is an alternative substitute for the oils.
Massage is good for your feet.
Try to get someone to do it for you, but if you cannot get some baby oil and do it yourself.
Squeeze your toes soothingly and use a circular movement over the bottom of your foot.
Pressing you thumb into all parts of the arch of your foot as hard as you can will help to stimulate it.
To alleviate inflammation use ice cubes inside a wet cloth and run it over your feet and ankles for several minutes before drying your feet.
Try wearing shoes with thick shock absorbing insoles to protect you from rough surfaces and hard pavements.
Dressing up for work may be compulsory but your foot strain can be helped by wearing walking shoes or gym shoes to work.
Tight calf muscles cause foot fatigue so going from high to low heel at some point of the day relieves the tension on these muscles.
High heels prompt your feet to thrust forward causing pain on the balls of your feet.
You can use a half insole to help take away the pain.
Do not forget to transfer the insole to whatever pair of shoes you are wearing.
If you already use insoles make sure they are not cramping your feet by stretching your shoes.
Fill an old sock with sand and shove it in the toe of the shoe.
Then wet the shoe and let it dry out slowly by securing it with a wet towel you may need to do it more than once to get the required result.
To break free from the constraints your feet are under and to move around and be stimulated here are a few exercisers you can try almost anywhere.
You can use general bending turning and stretching ankle aerobics if you wish but here are a few alternatives:
