These recent days, it is not hard to find teenagers who lose their hair every other day which cause them to have to transplant their hair. In most cases, the hair loss is caused by common causes such as continuous hair pulling which may very well damage their hair follicles. Such a condition is often recognized as the traction alopecia. This disease often happens to those who make use quite frequently of braids or other tight hair styles. Yet, since the teenagers are still very young, they need to be very careful. This is because they are more vulnerable to this particular disease compared to the older people out there. It is also important to keep in mind that this is a reversible condition. However, if it does not get the proper treatment for quite some time, it may happen to be permanently destructive.

It is often the case that the teenagers their temporal as well as frontal hairs. However, how worse things may prove to be will usually depend on the hairstyle that the teenagers put on. Yet, chemical hair treatments may also play a role in triggering hair loss. Hair straighteners, lighteners and so forth may burn and dissolve the teenagers' hair directly from their scalp if those chemical hair treatments are used in an excessive manner. This is because they contain a high concentration of alkalinity that has a pH ranging from 12 to 14. Even worse, the chemical hair treatments may also remain there and this is one reason for extensive hair loss.

One very good method to fight traction alopecia is to recognize it at its early stages. It is as well a pretty good idea to keep away from any hairstyle that may cause tension to the hair roots. African braids are one example that is strictly forbidden for it causes excessive and extreme tight scalp braiding. In case some little fine bumps become visible around the people's hairline soon after the hair is braided, it is a pretty clear sign that the hair has been braided too tightly. With that being said, it is, needless to say, a very good and wise idea to get rid of the braid as soon as possible.

Yet, in case some people happen to figure out that they are facing some hair loss problems without being able to figure out any possible reason, they are quite recommended to pay a visit to the dermatologists in existence. It is often the case that those dermatologists are the right persons to ask about whether their hair loss problems have been caused by the traction alopecia disease or some other causes. One unlucky fact is that there has not been any remedy yet that people can use for the purpose of curing this particular disease when the disease has reached its later stages. Even though hair grafts may sound quite a solution, it is just not enough in fact. Therefore, being more aware and educated about such a disease may be a lot better to do at the present.
