- 2). Add three hours to the current time to convert to EDT. For example, if it is noon in the PDT zone, it is 3 p.m. EDT. If it is 11 p.m. PDT, the three additional hours put the time at 2 a.m. EDT the following date.
- 3). Plug the PDT time into an online converter, such as Time Zone's world clock meeting planner, if desired. Enter the date into the search field. Pick a city in the PDT time zone for "Place/City No. 1." Choose a city in California, Nevada or Washington to make the task easier, because the entirety of those states recognizes PDT. Choose a major eastern seaboard city for "Place/City No. 2," such as New York, Boston or Philadelphia. Click "Show Timetable."
