Save Money: Focus on Spending!
No, I'm not talking about frivolous, wasteful spending - that kind of spending just creates bad feelings.
The kind of spending you really want to do involves taking proper care of yourself and your family.
That's really the point of this article: focus on the valuable, worthwhile things you can do with your money.
Doing this builds up a natural resistance to impulse buys, overpaying and costly bad habits.
The result, when you're focused on spending money for that which is valuable to you, is money saved for what's most important.
Spending is what saving is about anyway.
Think about it.
Without eventually spending money, there is no point to saving money.
Ask any economist - too much saving is a vice, not a virtue.
All saving and no spending means no money is circulating and no one is reaping the rewards; everyone's horded value will decrease.
Why?Cause money only has real value when it is used.
This takes us back to focusing on spending money.
Focus on the life enhancing and enriching things you are going to do and are doing with your money.
Many of these things will require you to save money for a while to acquire them.
And don't get me wrong - securing a comfortable old age for you and your spouse, and leaving some wealth behind for the kids and grandkids for when you are gone is a noble and good thing to spend your money on!The key is to find the right balance when you save your money for these things: save enough to meet all you important future needs off in the distance, but also focus some spending on the valuable people, places and things in your life today.
