Subconscious Mind Power Techniques
- It has been heard before; to be successful, you must visualize yourself as a success. Overcoming limits that have been placed on you by yourself and those around you is a slow process that must be practiced daily. Start by replacing negative thoughts with positive ones and work on removing negative words from your vocabulary. Then you will be able to visualize a goal and imagine that you have already achieved it, making that goal much more realistic and attainable. Daily focus eventually becomes a subconscious and learned behavior.
- The processes of visualization and positive thinking can be enhanced through meditation. Take time out of each day for yourself. Find a quiet spot, even if it's in your car in the back of a parking lot. Get comfortable, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and relax. Meditation is entering a sense of calmness and peace that is reached by relaxing the entire body and ridding the mind of all negativity so you have room for positive thoughts. Soon you will be able to meditate anywhere, such as in a physician's waiting room or on a bus.
- Auditory subliminal messaging is a mild form of hypnosis used while awake or asleep. Basically, positive affirmations are recorded onto mp3 devices, discs and cassette tapes that you can listen to just about anywhere. Even if you are not consciously listening to the recordings, your subconscious is taking it all in -- brain washing in a good sense. Over time, negative thoughts in your subconscious mind are replaced with positive ones.
- Lack of concentration is a common problem among people in all walks of life. It can affect students, teachers, machine operators, writers, artists and so on; no one is immune. Reduced concentration is a roadblock to achieving goals, no matter the size of the goal. Place both hands on your temples, close your eyes and tell yourself you are getting rid of all distractions and focusing all your energy on the task at hand. Repeat this to yourself three times, then slowly count to five while taking deep breaths. After that, lower your hands as you open your eyes. Repeat this process two or three times a day for 21 days. Your ability to concentrate should be a great deal better. A shortened version of this process, of your making, is used thereafter for a boost in concentration levels when needed.
