You get the point, add 500 calories to your diet right away.
Your calories should come mostly from good carbohydrates because these calories will be used up quickly as energy and by the muscles while they build.
In order to build the muscles, you will need lots of proteins and amino acids from fish, red meats, eggs, and poultry.
Proteins and amino acids are the essential nutrients directly associated with building muscle mass.
Drink whole milk for the vitamins and lots of water to hydrate.
There is plenty of information on the internet on diets specifically designed to build muscle and gain weight fast.
Find one that sounds good to you, make a menu and go shopping.
Pretend like the snacks and soda isles are not there and that the beer cooler and cigarette case is locked up for the day.
These things are not allowed in your diet any longer, those are not the right kinds of calories or carbs for muscle gain.
Step 2 - Exercise You must begin your exercising at the same time that you begin your diet, no sooner and absolutely no later.
If you don't then you will end up gaining weight in the form of fat, not muscle.
When that happens it will be much more difficult to achieve your goals, and fast won't even be part of the equation.
Find a workout that you enjoy and will stick to because you aren't allowed to quit.
This is your new life and that life includes weight and resistance training three or four times every week.
To build muscle and gain weight fast you will need to increase your weights, resistance, reps and sets on a regular basis.
Every two weeks at a minimum.
Step 3 - Supplement If you are trying to build muscle and gain weight fast you will probably need some help.
Supplements that include creatine, protein, and HGH (Human Growth Hormone) are recommended for someone who is building muscle and gaining weight.
These can easily be purchased at your local health food store or on the internet.
That sounds pretty simple right? You obviously haven't seen how many different supplements there are to choose from.
Do your homework and find the one that's right for you, and be willing to pay for it.
