Jannypie provides great photos and instructions for creating her craft desk. While her purpose was to create a crafting work area, her design would certainly work great for a home office desk. There is a lot of work surface plus storage space with the use of the two cube sections. An alternative to having the cubes at each end of the one section would be to put each cube at the outer ends of each section of desk and then have legs (you would need 4 legs) to support where the two work surfaces meet. You would have to measure the distance to ensure that you have clearance for pulling up a chair if you use the corner section for computer. Based on the measurements provided you could also have your computer and other electronics along one side of the L shape and then have other storage organizers on the remaining section.More »
