- 1). Download and install AVI2DVD. Run the program and click the "Load" button, then select the source AVI file. Choose a language for the audio stream contained in the AVI video file. Click on the "Step 2" tab and select the "DVD or SVCD" radio button. In the "Choose Disk Size" box, select "SVCD." Click on the "Step 3" tab and use "quenc" as the default encoder. Use the "Step 4" tab to add subtitles to the SVCD, and use the "Step 5" tab to create a menu (these steps are optional). Click the "Go" button to begin converting.
- 2). Download and install the WinAVI Video Converter. Run the program and click the "DVD" button from the main program menu. Select "Any to DVD/VCD/SVCD/MPEG" as the format conversion. Choose the AVI file to convert in the box that pops up. Click the "Browse" button to select an output directory for the converted file, then select an encoder to use. Then click "OK" to begin converting.
- 3). Download and install Cucusoft's AVI to SVCD Converter. Run the program and select the radio button for "To SVCD." Click on the "Merge/Join" tab to convert a single AVI file or select the "Batch" tab for multiple files. Click the "Open AVI File" button and select the AVI file. Click the "Convert & Burn" button to begin converting.
