SARS
SARS case counts continue to rise, with most new cases being reported in China. There are now 254 suspected and probable cases in the United States, and 4649 probable cases worldwide. Of these cases, most people recovered, although 6% of people with SARS, in 26 countries, didn't.
Of the 39 probable cases in the United States, 37 occurred in travelers to parts of the world where SARS transmission is occurring, one occurred in a health care worker, and one was a household contact.
So there is still no evidence of community spread.
