Store-bought birthday party decorations can hamper your party budget, as they are a little expensive. Moreover, kids are not very interested in artistic centerpieces or flower vases. Instead of buying the ready-made decoration supplies, you can choose a lot of colorful balloons in various shapes, sizes, and varieties to craft a lively atmosphere for your child"s birthday party. These simple pieces make the walls, ceiling, and even the entry, look awesome. Some creative ideas for birthday balloon decorations are mentioned below.

Balloon flowers:

These are very easy to make and look excellent when attached to the bare wall. Blow up a small yellow or orange balloon to make it the center of the flower. For the petals, blow up oval shaped balloons and attach them to the center. Use one green long balloon to make the stem and two more to make leaves by blowing them up and joining the ends.

Writing the name of the birthday boy/girl:

Make your little one feel special by writing his/her name on a bare wall using balloons! This is not as difficult as it sounds; you will just need a lot of long balloons, masking tapes and of course some imagination. Pump-up long balloons of various colors and tape them on a bare wall in order to form alphabets so that they spell out your child"s name. Combine this with a balloon flower and see the twinkle in your child"s eye!

Double balloon treat:

For this, you will need two balloons of contrasting colors, one should be translucent. Insert the opaque balloon into the translucent one leaving its neck outside and then, inflate it half way using helium. Hold its neck tightly so that the gas doesn"t escape. Inflate the translucent one fully and tie the neck of both these balloons tightly. This amazing balloon-inside-a-balloon decoration will surely surprise the kids. For more fun, you can insert some candies into the translucent one before blowing it and give them away as party favors.

Balloon Kites:

Kite flying is one of the favorite games for kids, especially boys. For your kid"s birthday, use these wonderful objects along with balloons to beautify your party venue. Choose a balloon and a kite of contrasting colors and paste them together to create balloon kites. Let the kids fly them, hang them on the ceiling with balloons facing the floor, use them as wall decoration, or do anything that you feel will make the place look beautiful.

Miniature Balloon trees:

Take floral foam and anchor some sticks of variable size on it. At the tip of these sticks, tie balloons of various colors. When done, it will look like a tree. Decorate the sticks and the floral foams with crepe paper, streamers, curling ribbons, etc. The smaller sizes can be used as centerpieces whereas the bigger ones can be used for decorating the entry and the corners.

Balloon chairs:

To make it easy for the kids to identify their chairs, tie personalized balloons on them. You can personalize them by writing the guest names with colored markers or even peel & paste letters.

There are endless birthday balloon decoration ideas that you can use for your kids" birthday party; however, make sure you keep the infants and toddlers away from balloons and throw away the blown out ones immediately to avoid any unpleasant situation.
