Summer Shirt and Shorts for a Clothespin Doll

This clothespin doll outfit of summer or tropical shirt and shorts can be worn by a male or female doll. I used small 5 inch squares of quilting fabric to make my outfit.

The same instructions can be used to make glued on shirts and shorts for other sizes of dolls. Just choose a piece of fabric which will adapt to your doll's size.

The basic doll body is prepared following the instructions for making clothespin dolls.

For this doll, I left the doll head and body unpainted to mimic a summer tan, wrapping the hands and arms completely with pale tan embroidery floss to match the natural wood color.

Facial features were added using permanent pens as in the instructions for the basic clothespin doll. The doll's hair is acrylic paint, painted in place with a brush.
