How to Fix The Corruption from MS Access Database (.mdb/accdb) Files

In these days computers are excessively used by all of us even we are individuals or a part of an organization. It is one of the most common storage devices which we use to store our all data and information. As an individual we do not have large amount of information to store what we could have as an organization. To run a business or an organization without using computer could be impossible especially nowadays. Computer helps big organizations to store their large amount of data safely and manage them in a perfect order. The information related to employees, clients, business partners is very important for an organization. The process of managing these data in a perfect order is called data management. This work can't be done by a person (database manager) as lots of hard work is needed for it. So, for this purpose Microsoft has designed a program known as MS Access which is one of most common and well known DBMSs (Database Management System). Due to a good amount of features it has become the first choice for every organizations and businesses. A database management system is used by several departments, such as: in school to keep the records of teachers and students, in banks to keep the records of their customers and employees, in businesses to keep the record of employees and clients, so on and so forth.

"A database file is a file in tabular form in which large amount of data and information is stored. In a database file there are lots of fields, columns and tables in which we can put a number of records." For e.g. a telephone directory stores a large number of information of the persons in a perfect order (alphabetically).We can easily search any contact number of any specific person.

MS Access presents a good platform with friendly environment to create database files. It uses .mdb (MS Access Database) and .accdb (Access Database) as a file extension. In MS Access 2003 and earlier .mdb file extension is used and in 2007 and above .accdb file extension is used.

Sometimes when we open our database file of MS Access it becomes inaccessible or unable to be opened. And if anyhow opened the content and text of the file becomes unreadable. All these happen due to MS Access database corruption. There are several reasons which can play an important role in corruption of database files, such as:
  1. Hard disk drive failure;
  2. Network problem;
  3. Sudden power failure;
  4. Virus infections (one of most common);
  5. Faulty MS Access program;
  6. Collision of software programs, etc.

Whenever a database file gets corrupted we could lose all our data and information inside it. And at that point of time we also come across with some errors which tell us about the corruption. Like "Unrecognized Database Format", "The database name.mdb is not a database file", "Microsoft Access has detected corruption in this file" and many more.

But as a smart computer user we should always ready with a valid backup in the situation of file corruption. If we do have a valid backup for MS Access database files then we can easily restore our files from that backup. But if we do not have any backup then we have only one option left which is repairing the database file. We must repair the file if we want to access the data inside it. We can't access a corrupt database file until it gets fully repaired. And as suggested by Microsoft we must not try to fix the corruption manually. We need to think about a software program that can help us to repair our corrupt database file.A software program which is designed to fix the corrupt database files is the solution for us. It helps us to repair our multiple database (.mdb/.accdb) files and recovers all our data from them such as tables, queries, forms, reports, modules, macros, tables' relationships, stored procedure, including BLOB, OLE and Memo data.
