How to Rip With an iPod & Macintosh
- 1). Insert a CD into the computer. iTunes automatically opens. If iTunes does not automatically open, find it in your "Applications" folder and double-click its icon.
- 2). Click on the "Import CD" button in the lower right of the window to rip the CD. iTunes copies the music on the CD and beeps when it is done.
- 3). Plug your iPod into a USB port on your Mac. Your iPod appears in the list on the left of the iTunes window.
- 4). Select your iPod from the "Devices" section in the sidebar. The right side of the iTunes window displays information about your iPod and allows you to specify which items you want copied to your iPod. For music, you can either choose to transfer your entire music library or select individual playlists, artists, albums and musical genres.
- 5). Click on the "Sync" button in the lower right of the iTunes window. iTunes copies your music to your iPod. Do not disconnect your iPod until the sync is complete.
