Top 10 Fall 2013 Anticipated Albums

Fall 2013 looks to be one of the biggest seasons in recent memory for pop music. The season is led by two of the world's biggest solo pop females Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Hip hop living legend Eminem is returning with his latest album, and headline grabbing artists Miley Cyrus and Lorde present their full-length efforts.

1. September 24 - Drake - Nothing Was the Same

Drake has reached the pop top 10 an impressive 13 times since he debuted on the charts in 2009. Nothing Was the Same is his third studio album following two chart topping releases. Drake says the new album was influenced by Marvin Gaye's 1978 double album Here, My Dear. 2. September 30 - Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2

Justin Timberlake's album The 20/20 Experience released this past spring is the biggest selling album of the year so far. 3. September 30 - Lorde - Pure Heroine

16 year old New Zealand teenager Lorde is one of the most intriguing new pop artists of the year. Her debut single "Royals" is nearing the top of the pop singles chart. All of the songs were written or co-written by Lorde, and the album was produced entirely by Joel Little of the New Zealand band Goodnight Nurse.

4. October 8 - Miley Cyrus - Bangerz

No pop musician has made more headlines than Miley Cyrus in the last month. However, all of the controversy seems to only sell more music. She followed her #2 smash hit single "We Can't Stop" with her first #1 hit "Wrecking Ball."Bangerz includes those hits as well as collaborations with Britney Spears, Nelly and Big Sean. 5. October 15 - Paul McCartney - New

71 year old Paul McCartney has had an impressive year so far. He has toured this past summer and performed at a wide range of music festivals. He shut down Hollywood Boulevard on September 23, 2013 with a free concert to help kick off Jimmy Kimmel's new TV season. Among the producers on the new album are Paul Epworth, who produced Adele's smash "Rolling In the Deep," Mark Ronson, who worked extensively with Amy Winehouse, and Giles Martin, son of the legendary Beatles producer George Martin. 6. October 22 - Katy Perry - Prism

"Roar,"Katy Perry's first single from Prism, turned into a massive #1 pop hit. She has said the new music has darker elements than her previous work. 7. November 5 - Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP 2

Eminem's first Marshall Mathers LP is a rap and pop landmark. It was released in 2000 and became the rapper's first chart topping album.
