Making the decision to have your bathroom remodeled is probably not one that you will come to lightly.
After all you will be spending your hard-earned money.
You will be dealing with the inconvenience of not being able to use your bathroom.
And you will be working with contractors and maybe even bathroom designers.
If you will keep some of the following tips in mind for working with contractors and getting through the remodeling process, then your experience just might go smoother than expected: -Make arrangements with a nearby neighbor to use their facilities if you only have one bathroom.
-Remember that when contractors are working on your bathroom that at any given time of day the water in your house may be turned off.
-Have a mat outside of the bathroom door for your contractor to wipe their feet on, especially if they will be doing tile and sheet rock work.
-Be sure to get a contractor that you can trust or that you have had references for, because they will be in your house for extended periods of time, sometimes alone.
-Make sure that any plans that you have for your bathroom are clearly understood by the contractor doing your remodel.
-You will want to be sure that everything that you expect is clearly spelled out in a contract.
This includes all costs for labor and materials.
-You will also want to have your contractor give you some kind of an idea when the job should be complete.
