Hot Tub Benefits - Reducing Your Pill Intake
Let's face it, we all have problems.
Some are worse than others or course, but almost all can experience at least some relief by sitting in a hot tub.
And all it takes is a few minutes a day.
Nobody doubts that hot tubs are a great way to relax, but are there any medical benefits? The short answer is yes.
Of course the ancient Egyptians knew this even without the science to prove it.
The Roman Empire realized it too, and people were encouraged to use public bathhouses.
Most of us, some estimates say over 70%, feel like we have too much stress in our lives.
And most of us also complain about some regular pain.
We could reduce those numbers drastically if everyone could spend just 30 minutes a day in a warm tub.
I don't think anyone will disagree that too many of us rely on pills or some form of medication to relieve our aches and pains.
And we are certainly not about to say these are not beneficial.
But we also know that this can be problematic as well.
Sometimes medication is the only option, but far too often people become addicted to these medications.
There's got to be another way to relieve our pain.
And for many people a short time in a hot tub is that way.
There are numerous studies to show how a hot tub can relieve various medical ailments.
Stress (and all it's related physical and mental ailments) is at the top of the list.
But hot tubs have also been shown to aid in arthritis relief and even Type 2 Diabetes among other things.
It's also been shown that they help speed rehabilitation from various injuries.
Medication relieves our pain, but when the pill wears off, the pain returns.
That's why for some people a hot tub is a great alternative.
We would never suggest getting off your Doctor prescribed medications in favor of sitting in a hot tub, but with so many people experiencing relief through hydrotherapy, isn't it worth at least trying? Will you experience these same hot tub benefits? There's no way to tell unless you try.
