Blogger Verses WordPress - Which Blogging Platform is Better?
Some people think WordPress is the best platform, while other thinks Blogger is better.
Some people think WordPress is more customizable, and some people think Blogger is easier to use.
So, what blogging platform is better? I tried WordPress about a year ago, and I came to the conclusion that I would never use WordPress again.
Since then, Blogger has been my preferred choice for all my blogs.
Why? For many reasons; but the main reasons were the server up-time, cost, and the ability to monetize my blog.
Sure, you can go and get a WordPress.
org blog, but it's not free, I'm specifically talking about free blogging platforms.
Blogger is free, and WordPress is free.
However, Blogger is free no matter what changes you make, and WordPress is only free if you stick with the .
wordpress.
com address and basic themes.
Another reason why I wouldn't use WordPress is the ability to monetize your blog.
On WordPress you can't place AdSense on your blog.
But Blogger you can.
Obviously AdSense is not the only revenue option; however, it's still a great option for some extra money.
And why would you use a blogging platform which does not allow AdSense? It doesn't make sense.
Another reason why Blogger is better than WordPress is SEO aspect.
Generally for free blogging platforms, the SEO aspect is difficult.
However, because Google owns Blogger, there are reports that Blogger blogs get indexed before WordPress blogs.
That doesn't mean that your horrible Blogger blog will get indexed before a professional WordPress blog, however, if you put the same amount of work into a Blogger blog as you would into a WordPress blog, the Blogger blog will get indexed sooner.
