Emaar MGF distributes 10000 blankets under ‘Gift a Smile' campaign

Emaar MGF, one of India's leading real estate developers, is renowned for its high qualityand internationally designed projects. Emaar MGF is a real-estate developer based in India and has projects in several destinations in India, covering residential, commercial, and hospitality. It is the joint venture of Emaar Properties PJSC led by Mohamed Alabbar with Shravan Gupta's  MGF (Motor & General Finance) Developments Limited of India. Emaar MGF operations cover various aspects of real estate development, such as land identification and acquisition, project planning, designing, marketing and execution.However, the company is also admired for undertaking numerous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. The latest being their annual ‘Gift a Smile' campaign to bring warmth and happiness in the lives of construction workers. In line with their philosophy of ‘welfare for all', the Company distributed blankets to the labourers at its projects pan India, at a time when the country is going through a severe cold wave.

 The Company kick-started the year by distributing 10000 blankets at its various project sites - Emerald Hills, Palm Drive, Palm Garden, Palm Terraces Select and Marbella in Gurgaon; Mohali Hills in Mohali; and Gomti Greens in Lucknow.  As of now, Emaar MGF has distributed 35000 blankets over the years under its unique campaign ‘Gift a Smile'.  This initiative is aimed at aiding the construction workers to face the extreme weather conditions.

 

 In addition to ‘Gift a Smile' campaign, Emaar MGF undertakes several CSR initiatives throughout the year. Under their campaign emCare, Emaar MGF employees contributed to J&K Relief Fund as Jammu and Kashmir witnessed one of the worst floods in the past six decades bringing immense loss to life and property.  Moreover, Emaar MGF has contributed to various relief funds for floods in Uttarakhand and Odisha.

 Emaar MGF also recently organised health camps for its site workers on World AIDS Day. The initiative was part of the Company's efforts to take the ‘Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat' (Clean India, Healthy India) campaign forward, by encouraging the idea of a healthy body, healthy workforce. The Company also holds periodic blood donation camp at their corporate office in Gurgaon. 

 

Other CSR initiatives taken by Emaar MGF include gift distribution to children of construction workers, and running Mobile Crèches for these children taking care of their education, nutrition and health. It also holds safety awareness campaigns and tree plantation drives on a regular basis at its project sites . The Company has also been engaging actively with NGOs working in the field of disability, education and healthcare to fulfil its social commitments.
