How to Create Art Using Seeds
If you have lots of old seeds, save them for making pictures or jewelry.
SEED DECORATIONS: Materials:
- Eggshells, rinsed
- Orange or grapefruitshells
- Pottingsoil
- Markersor paint pens
- Seedsfrom list
- Plantsprayer - light mist setting
- Maple wings
- Rose hips
- Dandelion fluff
- Acorns
- Alfalfa
- Mustard
- Mungbeans
- Radish
- Watercress
Use markers or paint to make a face or decoration* on egg shells or citrus peels 2.
Fill each shell with moist potting soil 3.
Put alfalfa seeds in one container, cress in another - one seed variety per container 4.
Use the plant sprayer to keep the soil moist 5.
In a few days your sprouts will grow If you made a face, it will look like your container has sprout "hair.
" *Decorate your container like a porcupine or dinosaur growing sprout "quills" or "spikes.
" Decorate your container with colors or shapes to complement the color or shape of sprouts.

- Birdseed - any mixture
- Corn

- Tree seeds, including maple wings and acorns
