- 1). Plug one end of the iPhone cable into the bottom connector on the iPhone. Plug the other end of the iPhone cable into a USB port on the Mac or PC computer.
- 2). Go to a free iPhone unlocking website, for example, the "Jailbreakme" website. Click the "Yes" button on the website to confirm that you want to unlock the iPhone. Click the "Yes" button that appears in a confirmation window on top of the web page.
- 3). Click the "Start" button that has appeared on the web page. Wait as the iPhone's screen lights up and a series of information text lines appear on the web page.
- 4). Click the "OK" button on the confirmation window when it pops up on top of the web page. Disconnect the iPhone cable from the computer and from the iPhone.
- 5). Shut down the iPhone by holding down the Sleep/Wake switch at its upper right corner until a slider graphic appears on the top of the LCD screen. Push the slider over to the right. Press and hold down the Sleep/Wake switch once the LCD screen has gone black. Release the Sleep/Wake switch once the Apple logo appears on the LCD screen.
