Crafts to Decorate a Foot Locker

Name Tag

• Add a name tag to identify the owner. Paint the owner's name on a bare license plate and add paint swirls and stickers. Use clay or modeling clay to make a frame and the letters of the owner's name if you want to make a tag for a child's foot locker. Add magnet tape to the back of the tag to adhere it to the locker.
  
  

Mirror

• Every foot locker needs a mirror. Make your own mirror by starting with a plain mirror. Add decorations around it. Paper or foam flowers work well for a girl's locker. Adhesive basketballs or footballs is an attractive alternative for a boy's foot locker mirror. Add a large magnet to the back of the mirror to make it stick.
  
  

Picture Frames

• Make decorative picture frames to hold pictures of friends or family in the foot locker. Cover the glass of small picture frames and paint decorations onto the frame. Paint flowers, swirls, letters or words. You can also use stickers, foam or pom-poms to decorate your frames. Add a magnet or place the frame on a shelf in the locker.
  
  

Organizers

• Make a foot locker organizer that will keep small items like sunglasses, goggles, shampoo, medication and notepads handy. Cut a cardboard box diagonally similar to a magazine holder and two separate small pieces of cardboard. Decorate the box with scrapbook or contact paper. Add the small pieces to the larger piece to make dividers. Add a few decorative clips to keep track of schedules, game plays or other important papers. Add multiple pieces of decorative foam, a magnet and beads together to form a decorative magnet.
  
  

Clings

• Make your own locker signs with adhesive vinyl. Acquire vinyl sheets and cut them out into small photo mats. Add sticker letters to make signs. You can also glue pictures to the vinyl to make a decorative mat behind your photo.
  
  

Shelf Liner

• Add decorations to the shelves of the foot locker. Apply contact paper to the shelves. Glue beaded trim along the edge of the shelf. If the locker does not come with shelves, measure the width of the locker and cut a board to the same size. Cover the board with batting and fabric. Finish off with the beaded fringe.
