- 1). Navigate to the Blogger home page at blogger.com and log in using your Google account ID and password.
- 2). Navigate to the "Manage Blogs" list on your Blogger page.
- 3). Locate the blog you wish to add a background image to and click the "Design" button. The "Page Elements" page will load.
- 4). Click the "Template Designer" link near the top of the "Design" tab. The Blogger template designer will open, giving you access to the template options for your blog.
- 5). Click the "Background" entry in the template designer list near the top of the page. The current background image and color theme will appear.
- 6). Click the current background image to open the "Select Background Image" window that contains all of the default Blogger backgrounds.
- 7). Click the "Upload Image" button at the top of the background image window to access the upload function.
- 8). Click "Browse" to open an Explorer window, then locate the image file you wish to use for a background.
- 9). Click "Open" once you've selected the image to upload it to Blogger and then click "Done" to close the image selection window. The image you selected should appear as the background in the preview.

Click the "Apply to Blog" button in the upper-right corner of the template designer frame to finalize the change. The image you uploaded will now appear as the background image for your blog.
