Frizzy Hair - Exposed & Explained

103 6
I used to think that frizzy hair was uncontrollable and the only way to get results was to tame it down with different hair products.
I have often heard the usual theories that frizz is caused by weather and genetics.
Genetics meaning that some hair textures have a natural tendency to be frizzy and if the weather is bad, your hair will be bad...
just accept it.
In reality I found that the real culprit of frizz in the majority of hair types is the lack of moisture in the hair.
Wow, this makes so much sense to me.
In my own personal experience I have often thought that my hair always feels dry.
I have noticed that anytime I receive a moisturizing treatment, my hair feels great and styles effortlessly.
The issue is that it never lasts long.
The minute I wash my hair it goes right back to being its dry, frizzy self.
My hair was in need of some serious hydration.
So here's what I discovered: 1.
Start from the inside out: Make sure that you are eating your fruits, vegetables and drinking water.
This is a must.
I think we have forgotten how our bodies need the proper nutrients.
These veggies are best when eaten in raw form and please try to eat all organic.
2.
Drink good water: If possible purchase a water filter.
Now a day's there is a lot of unnecessary things that are leaking into our water so to play it safe I recommend getting a water purifier.
Drink at least 3 full glasses a day.
3.
Deep conditioners: Use oils such as olive oil and coconut oil.
Look around the kitchen and see what kind of oils you've got.
Almost any oil will do the trick for a deep conditioning treatment.
Apply from root to ends and leave on for at least 15 minutes.
4.
Moisturizing Products: Moisturizing products are a must.
Get a moisturizing or hydrating shampoo, conditioner and leave in moisturizing spray.
5.
Skip Shampoos: Don't shampoo your hair every day.
The oils at your scalp need to make their way down to the mid shaft and ends to add the correct nourishment to your hair.
6.
Stock up on protein and moisture treatments: For really intense treatments I recommend going to a professional salon.
For up keep there are many at home hydrating treatments that will help refresh and restore moisture on a daily basis For best results stay consistent.
If your hair is really damaged then you will have to treat your with a moisturizing treatment after each shampoo.
Remember that it takes awhile to fix dry hair.
Stick in there and you will see great results.
