Kristen and I bought a car together a few years back for road trips. Though it was a Mustang and we both had loved it, but we decided to sell it because it was old and we were planning to buy a new one. So we both decided to sell it on free online classified sites and decided to make an advertisement for it. While we were going through everything and searching about how to post free ads, we came across a few tips that were really helpful in creating an effective free online classified ad which I am going to share here today -
Before placing an ad for your vehicle, please consider the following things -
- Attaching a photograph with your ad can increase its value and you can generate a lot of leads online. That's what we did as well; we took a picture of our Mustang and posted it along with the advertisement.
- You don't need to worry about getting in touch with the buyer because people who would be interested will either contact you directly through the website or else, you can also provide a link to your email address and they can email you there.
- If you decide to post free ads, you should be well aware of the fact that some sites will run your ad for a limited time period. Also, there are sites which will keep your advertisement running till the time the offer is not over.
- While looking for a free online classified posting site, you might want to look for the capabilities that the website offers. By capabilities, I mean websites that provide options such as making selections by model, type, price and so on. This helps to get more refined results.
- Since there are hundreds and thousands of classified ads online, you really need to work hard to make your listing stand out from the rest. Adding graphics, letters, and highlights will get your ad noticed.
- You should always- always select the most reputable sites on the internet. It increases the chances of getting more visitors to your ad.
- This is the most obvious and most important thing to take care of. When you post free ads- always place your ad on the relevant site. We want to sell a mustang and it would be so stupid of us to place an ad under jewelry section. It doesn't make any sense, right? While I was browsing ads online - I saw so many ads posted under irrelevant section - which ideally should be the case!
So these were some of the tips that I thought were important and wanted to share with you. We eventually sold our beloved mustang on a really good deal!
