- 1). Assemble the Skooter Automatic Pool Cleaner, if you haven't done so already. The large opening of the vacuum hose slides onto the connection point of the vacuum head. The two fit snugly together and do not require any locks or fasteners.
- 2). Access the filter on the side of your pool. Typically there is an access panel along a pool wall. Insert the vacuum hose end into the pool filter's skimmer basket and twist to the right until it locks into place. This now directs the filter's suction away from the general vents along the side of the pool to the Skooter Automatic Pool Cleaner. If the filter is not currently running make sure to power it on now.
- 3). Gently slide the vacuum down into the water. The rubber bumper at the tip of the vacuum spreads out completely as the vacuum submerges against the pressure of the water.
- 4). Hold the grip on the end of the vacuum hose to maneuver the cleaner. Direct the Skooter Automatic Pooler Cleaner over every inch of the pool floor; pay special attention to the corners and any area of the pool under trees or other greenery.
- 5). Pull the Skooter Automatic Pool Cleaner out of the water and rest it on the surface next to the pool. Twist off the vacuum hose from filter to return the suction back to the general vents along the side of the pool. Cover the filter up and place your Skooter Automatic Pool Cleaner in your nearby storage facility. Gently set the vacuum hose down wherever you store it as puncturing the hose severely hinders the performance of the vacuum.
