When you are starting a business or selling a new product, you need to learn to fail quickly.
By getting products out to the marketplace fast, you will find out who the winners and who the losers are before wasting a lot of time tweaking them to perfection.
Shoot first and ask questions later.
This theory will get you to develop products quickly and get them to market when they are good enough.
You should never fall into the trap of over-fixing a product before release.
Entrepreneurs get in the habit of wanting everything to be absolutely perfect before it gets to the public an by causing this delay, sometimes the product never gets launched, forever staying in a state of adjustment.
Even worse, you could have spent months or years over-correcting a product that is a total failure in the marketplace.
By getting "good enough" products out there quickly, you can find out which ones will be a success and which ones will be failures.
This is the same concept that software companies use.
That is the reason that there are versions of software.
The send out a program that is "good enough" into the world, see if it's successful and then keep upgrading the ones that stick.
Once you have a successful product, then you come to the point where you work on continuously improving it.
You can charge for upgrades, take customer suggestions, look in chat rooms to find out what people are saying and make product improvements on a regular basis.
Once you have a pool of customers that love your product, it is much easier to re-sell them on the improved version.
They already have a vested interest in the product and they will want to have the latest and greatest version.
