How to Set Up a Samsung DVD Recorder
- 1). Connect your cable system signal to your Samsung DVD recorder by screwing the cable into the "ANT IN" port. If you have another device that you'd like to record from, connect the audio/video cables into the "AV IN" port on your DVD recorder.
- 2). Plug the audio/video cables into the "AV OUT" port on your DVD recorder. Plug the other end of the audio/video cables into the respective "AV IN" port on your television. If you want to connect digital audio to your stereo system, go to Step 3, or skip to Step 4 if you aren't connecting to a stereo system.
- 3). Connect the audio cable to the "Optical" or "Coaxial" port on the "Digital Audio Out" port on your DVD recorder. Connect the other end of the cable into the respective port on your stereo or amplifier.
- 4). Turn on your TV and Samsung DVD recorder. Press the "Input" button on your TV or TV remote and select the audio/video input that you connected your recorder into. Wait for your DVD recorder to automatically set up if you are turning it on for the first time. Press the number button on your remote corresponding to the desired language and time zone, if prompted on your TV screen. Your Samsung DVD recorder is now set up.
