- 1). Locate the model number of the cell phone that you will be mounting in the car. This information can be found printed on the phone, or listed on the label that is underneath the cell phone battery.
- 2). Purchase a mounting kit designed to fit your phone model. There are many different types of cell phone mounts that mount on different areas of your car, such as on the windshield, dashboard or cup holders. Choose a mounting position that will keep the phone in eyesight but will not be in the way of seeing any gauges or instrumentation.
- 3). Follow the manufacturer's instructions to properly mount the cell phone mounting bracket. Clean the area that the mount will be attached to to thoroughly remove any oil, dust or debris to ensure maximum adhesion.
- 4). Attach the phone to the mounting bracket, and ensure that it fits snugly. Attach any speaker or microphone wires that may be present.
