    Changing Graphic Card Settings

    • 1). Click "Start," "Control Panel" and "Appearance and Personalization.

    • 2). Click "Personalization" then "Display" if using Windows 7 or "Display Settings" if using Windows Vista.

    • 3). Click the "Adjust resolution" link to change your monitor/graphic card's display type, resolution or orientation. Click "Apply" then "OK" to accept the changes.

    • 4). Click the "Adjust brightness" link to change your monitor's overall brightness by moving the meter next to the heading "Screen brightness." The brightness change take place immediately.

    • 5). Click the "Calibrate color" link to open a "wizard" that will guide you through calibrating your graphic card/monitor's color. Click "Next" to begin the wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the wizard then click "Finish" when prompted.

    • 6). Click the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the "Display" or "Display Settings" dialog box when you are finish changing your graphic card's settings.

    Updating/Changing Graphic Card Driver --- Windows Update

    • 1). Click "Start," "All Programs" and "Windows Update."

    • 2). Click "Check for updates" in the left pane of the open dialog box. Click the "View available updates" link to see if a new driver is available for your computer's graphic card.

    • 3). Click the graphic card driver's name if a new driver is available. Click "Install" and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process. If prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, enter your system's password or click "Yes" to confirm the installation.
