Check Missing or Corrupted Files in Computer

It's embarrassing if some of our important files get corrupted. A corrupt file is any file that will not work properly. To find missing or corrupt files before they cause a problem, you will need to check your disk or drive. But it's important to check the disk daily, especially if the system got crashed or there was a sudden power loss. We can resolve this problem by doing the disc error check and system file check. Get some technical support to learn how you can do it.

Disk error checker:

1) Need to close all files which are open.
2) Go to "My Computer." Either double-click on "My Computer" icon on your desktop or open the start menu and click on "My Computer".
3) Right click on the drive that you want to scan & click on properties.
4) Click on the "tools" tab. Click the "check now" button under Error Checking. This will open the disk error checker. This will help to find the error files and will try to fix them.
5) Check both boxes and then click "start." The error checking will begin. This process can take a long time, depending on the size and speed of your hard drive.

System File Checker:

1) Need to log in as an administrator.
2) Open command prompt. Either click on 'Start', then click on run and type (cmd). Else it can be found in the Start menu under all programs, accessories, command prompt.
3) Type "sfc /scan now" without the space and hit enter. Insert your Windows installation disc if requested to do so.

If the above mentioned steps do not help you to retrieve the file, it could be a hard disk problem. Also it could be the problem with the Virus. So, scan your machine with an antivirus everyday when you log on to your system.
