Write a list of the things that you would find important in a child-care provider. A person who is charged with taking care of children should be patient, kind, organized, responsible, reliable and loyal. These are traits that are of great importance in a child-care worker. Listing these attributes helps you to organize your letter. - 2

Tell the prospective parent who is about to hire the individual how you met the person to whom you are referring in the letter. You may write: "Miss Stein has been in my employ for four years as a child-care worker." This tells the letter's recipient how you have standing to write the letter. - 3

Include any information about the person's abilities. Write about the provider's character and personal traits in regards to her abilities to connect with children. It's best to give examples regarding the relationship between the provider and your young child. A good example would include; "My young daughter loves going to day care and enjoys spending time with Ms. Smith, as she provides many fun and educational activities to all of her day care children." Incorporate any of the traits you listed in step one.
