- 1). Start PowerPoint, then open an existing presentation by clicking "File," then "Open." Browse the list of files, and select a presentation that you want to add audio to.
- 2). Click the "View" tab and select "Slide Sorter View." Select the slide where you want music to be applied. Next click the "Insert" tab, then "Audio."
- 3). Click either "Audio From File" or "Clip Art Audio." The Audio From File option lets you search your existing sound files to use in the presentation. The Clip Art Audio option lets you use preloaded sounds from the PowerPoint sound gallery. Select the sound file and click "Insert."
- 4). Play the sound by clicking the sound icon that appears in the slide.
