You will be able to choose among eight classes, four classes for each side when Star Wars The Old Republic will be released. While traveling the galaxy, some Companions will join your cause. They are not pets like in most MMORPG, they will have an impact in your gameplay and your story. Companion characters will act as you wish or they will try to influence you. Based on your decisions as the story progresses, Companions may become your best friends, or your worst ennemies ! They also may become your lovers.

I know we all make mistakes, but I prefer playing in the best way possible, and enjoy the game. That is why i recommend you to head over the Leveling guide, Credits guide section, you will have an enormous advantage than other people and you won't waste any time nor credits.
